Slant
Do you look to the future or hold on to the past ?
Take a good look at the handwriting samples below and
notice the different ways the writing is slanting.
Look at your own handwriting and see how it is slanting.
Find the one that slants in the same way as your own and
then scroll down the page to find out what it says about you.
Then copy and paste into notepad.
Slant
Slant
Writing starts from the left side of the page and proceeds towards the
right. Hence the left refers to where you have come from, and the right
refers to where you are going.
The slant of the writing refers to your desires or what you are leaning
towards. If you have a right slant you will have goals and desires in the
future, a left slant will show that you are thinking of the past.
If your writing is right slanted you have a desire to communicate with
others, because when you are talking to other people there is always an
anticipation of a reply (i.e. in the future).
On the other hand, if your writing is left slanted, you like to think
about yourself and generally refer to what you have or haven't done in
the past.
The upright slant is concerned with living in the present, and a
mixture of left and right slant will show that you have a very flexible
mind, in that you exhibit the desires of both slants at different times.
NOTES;
When looking at the slant, it's good to take note of the width of the
letters at the same time. A right slant with narrowness will show that
you have the desire to communicate, but have difficulty in so
doing, due to cooping things up within yourself. You will keep quiet
just to keep the peace, until it all comes out in a rush. Your shyness will
hold them back from taking larger strides in life.
When the right slant has broadness, this problem is overcome, as the
desire to communicate and the going ahead with it are both moving in
the same direction, i.e. outgoing. Therefore, it's a lot easier for you
to get things done in a confident way.
When left slant and broadness are together, you will appear
to others to be outgoing and extrovert, as you like to get a lot of things
done. However, you will still keep a part of yourself to yourself
as a precautionary measure.
Left slant and narrowness together will show that you really do
need to break out of your shell and face up to any fears, in order to
understand your own potential.
If microscopic writing is found in the script as well, then the situation
is more extreme, due to the added intensity of the writers to hide them-selves.
THE LIST ABOVE THE SAMPLE.

Also the list will help you to learn what to look for in handwriting.
If you are new to this, don't bother with this section.
After you have read this site once it will be easier for you to know what to look for ,
how to recognize it and what it tells us about the writer.
The following list will then make more sense and easier for you to see in the sample.

Planning Ahead
Your goals are in the future, therefore you are always planning ahead in
your mind. Desiring to anticipate life before it comes, you await new
experiences to enhance your life. You wish to work in such a way as
to ensure that the future will be brighter and, consequently, tend to be
fairly industrious.
Finding it difficult to be fully satisfied with life at present, you will work
towards the satisfactions that may lie in the future.
Pioneering Spirit
In general, you have a pioneering spirit and will work best when dealing
directly with people. Your sense of responsibility will provide you with
the desire to help and advise others, especially those less fortunate
than yourself.
Desire to Give
You have a great desire to give pleasure to others by revealing to them
your ideas, feelings and wishes, and find it easy to become emotionally
involved with them. In summary, you have a longing to show emphatic
friendliness, kindness and sympathy towards people.

Prefers Company
You prefer to have company and desire to be successful in a social
sphere, wishing to give pleasure to your companions. However, you do
have a tendency to depend on other people.
So great is your longing to be noticed by others, you sometimes show
what you think they want. to see in you. Being very sensitive you can
easily be hurt even when no unkindness is intended on the part of your
associates.
Try to resist the temptation to give in to unnecessary worry and
anxiety, which is generally caused by over concern for the future, and
avoid the urge to escape into diverse activities or over anticipating the future.
NOTES
Your natural desire to communicate with others is
frequently pushed to the extreme. So much so, that you often will not
want to leave other people alone. You may also find that you need to
learn how to be satisfied with your own company in order to gain more
independence in life.
A change in your writing to upright or right slant, would help
you towards this more independent stand in life.
Changing writing habits to enable changes in personality
When we change an aspect of our writing, all we are doing is changing
one habit pattern that causes us difficulty, to a habit that will bring us into
harmony and balance with ourselves.
By the changing of form we can bring about a change in consciousness
and attitude. We can see this in yoga exercises and in our day to day life.
Stomach in, chest out, head up and off for a brisk walk will invigorate us;
stomach out, chest in and head down and no walk gives us a pessimistic outlook.
So, just as the changing of our physical form can bring about a change
in attitude, the conscious changes we wish to make with the form of our
writing can do the same.
I do not intend to be dogmatic with the suggested changes in our
writing. However, for those of you who wish to try, the opportunity is
there to see the results.
One page of writing a day should be enough for practicing the
changes. It will be hard at first, as old habits die hard, but with a little
perseverance, after a few weeks, you should be well into the swing of it.
After the desired changes in writing become a natural habit pattern,
then the desired changes within our personalities will begin to manifest themselves.
It is best not to change too many things at a time. Three changes should
be enough for anyone to handle at one time. When you feel comfortable
with that, more changes can be made if wished.
Of course, the handwriting of everyone naturally changes with
growth and changes in outlook, due to the situations in which we find
ourselves. George Harrison's biography, I, Me, Mine, shows a fine
example of how his writing changes over the course of years.
With the conscious changing of writing habits, we can decide for
ourselves what area of self development we wish to work on in order to
bring harmony and rhythm into our writing, and hence into our lives. In
this way we can help our own growth tremendously. It just requires a
little honesty when weighing up the pro's and con's of the situations in
which we find ourselves, and seeing what the situations have to teach us.

Independent Outlook
You place the certain present before the uncertain future and, at the
same time, refuse to hide the shadows of the past. Having an independent
outlook on life, others may give you their opinion of a matter, but
you will always come to a conclusion on your own.
Because you are able to weigh up both sides of a situation in a
balanced way, you are fairly reasonable in your cool judgment. Quite
often you remain neutral in order to avoid any conflict. In this way you
are less dependent on outside influences, thus resisting the urge to be
absorbed into the environment and perhaps becoming its victim.

Holds on to the Past
You like to relive the past in your imagination, pondering over what
was done and what should have been done. Holding on to the past
acts as an anchor which stops you looking forward to the future.
Although inwardly you would like things to be better in the future, you
find it difficult to think in a positive way about life. By developing a more
positive attitude towards future events, it would be easier for you to
get on with others.
Cautious
You tend to be very cautious in your dealings with people, and generally
keep a part of yourself hidden from others. This is a method of
self protection to avoid any possibility of being hurt. The attitude
can be so strong that it can be seen by others as defiance.
Shy
You shy away from coming into close emotional contact with others,
especially strangers, who consequently find it difficult to get to the root
of your personality. The desire for solitude is often masked by habitual
diplomacy, others may see you as being rather aloof.
Works best with things
You find it far easier to work with ideas and objects than with people.
You work best when left on your own and with the opportunity to go at
your own speed.
NOTES:
Writers who have a left slant can be good at paper work, filing systems,
and any number of tasks which involve dealing with things.
You have the ability to work in such a way as not to be distracted by
outside influences, you cut yourself off from those around yourself, and
you are able to absorb yourself in the task at hand.
Accurate i dots (indicating attention to detail) and a clear, readable script
will be an added bonus for these writers who work so well on their own.
You work best when no one is standing over you looking for mistakes,
otherwise you may become a little stubborn.
If you wish to let go of the past and your tendency
towards stubbornness as a means of protection, the slant can be changed
to either upright or right slant.
Upright slant will give you a personal sense of independence, an
ability to think in the present, and attend to what needs to be done.
Holding on to the past can slow you down a little, and sometimes make
you inflexible. This can often get in the way when you want to achieve results.
Right slant writing will make it easier for you to plan into the future
with a sense of optimism. Dealing with people will become easier for
you to cope with as well.

Unpredictable
Inwardly you feel a little insecure, and sometimes tend to be rather
unpredictable, changing your mind about things from time to time.
You try to take an independent stand on life and come to your own
conclusions, but influences from other people and your environment
constantly sway you. This, in turn, makes it difficult for you to come
to any firm conclusions.
Can understand others
You do have the advantage of being able to understand and deal with
most types of people in a sympathetic way, no matter how difficult they
may be. Others, however, may find it hard to comprehend your varied
nature and to know where they stand with you.
NOTES
This wavering slant can be seen in the writing of many social workers
and those who have a natural ability to handle most types of people.
Right and left slant writing in the same script will show you to be
outgoing at times, and withdrawn at other times. Because you
can understand these two sides within yourself, you can
easily relate to people who are outward going or cautious, or a mixture
of both, which includes practically everyone. Hence, you are good with
people.
If you also have a full middle zone and a mixture of forms of
connection evident in your writing, this shows an added expertise when
handling other folk.

Inner Conflict
You experience a lot of conflict between the heart and the head.
At times you know what you want and work towards achieving it, but many
doubts hinder you from reaching your goal.
Sometimes you can be impulsive, wanting to get ahead in life and, at
other times, you are reserved. This is because your attachment and
loyalty to the past are pulling you in one direction, while your aspirations
for the future pull you in another. It's as if you want to get ahead, but
hanging on to the past holds you up.
Inwardly you may feel unstable and insecure and tend to be very
unpredictable, changing your mind constantly. Thus others may find
you difficult to get on with.
Changeable
In social spheres, your mode of approach is changeable; sometimes
moving towards others, and sometimes shying away from them.
Because people don't understand you they find it difficult to know how
you see them.
NOTES
Mixed slant. is just a more extreme version of upright slant and varying.
The slant leans more towards the right and the left. This brings about
the inner conflict of longing to put ideas into action as shown in the
right slant, and being over-cautious with doubts of ability to succeed
as shown with the left slant.
With so many self imposed obstacles it is difficult for you to
keep at any task for long periods. You need to stand back
and look at your life in an objective way. The past has come and gone,
You need to let go of it. Times change and people change, but it is
often difficult to change and grow when clinging to the past.
A move towards upright or right slant would help as it would increase
your independence, bring a bit of regularity into your life and
prevent you from being so easily influenced by what is going on around
yourself.
